Dear Beautiful Berendo Family,

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Berendo Middle School. I am truly grateful to be part of a community where students, parents, and staff care deeply for one another and work together to foster meaningful relationships that support both academic achievement and social-emotional growth.

I bring to this role over 20 years of experience in education within the Los Angeles Unified School District, primarily working with secondary students. My journey has included serving as a high school teacher, Magnet Coordinator, District Secondary Mathematics Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. As a proud product of LAUSD myself, I firmly believe that every student has the potential to succeed when provided with the right academic, emotional, and social support. Together, as partners in education, we can ensure that success for all our students.

At Berendo Middle School, our mission is to deliver the highest quality education possible—equipping our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in an ever-changing world. We achieve this by offering rigorous, engaging instruction and cultivating a learning environment that values excellence and equity. Our students' success depends on the strength of our partnership with families and the broader community. Parents are always welcome at Berendo, and we encourage your active participation in your child’s educational journey.

We value your voice and want to stay connected. I encourage you to communicate regularly with your child’s teachers and reach out to our main office with any questions, concerns, or needs. I also warmly invite you to get involved—volunteer, join our PTA, and attend our family and school events. Your presence and participation make a meaningful difference.
